The story of the Potty Express^®

As a father of three, I realized how difficult it was to take my son to the public restrooms. Whenever we sat down to eat at a restaurant he would say those immortal words "Daddy, I have to go Potty" - like he timed it to coincide with the arrival of our food. So far, it seems like my son has tried out every public restroom in the Tampa Bay area and then some.

I would take him to the men's room and soon found that no toilet was low enough to allow my son to reach the edge so that he could urinate standing up. My choices were to sit him down on the dirty toilet (lined with flimsy toilet paper or seat protectors) or lift him so that he could reach. My wife faced the same challenges when she took my son to the bathroom. She would have Bryan stand on top of her feet, on his tiptoes, so he could reach the edge. Sometimes, my wife would stand my son on the toilet seat while she held and balanced him (along with her purse, bags, etc.).

Quickly, I realized that this is no way to teach my son how to potty train faster. Most of the time the public toilets were filthy and sitting on them or just touching the edge was unthinkable. There had to be a better way! One day it just occurred to me . . . I wanted a device that could be carried easily in a diaper bag; that I could dispose of and never have to clean. I wanted a no mess, no fuss, easy to use, practical solution. I bought a supply of cardboard and, remembering my kindergarten days, started cutting. Many prototypes later we had the finished product: The Potty Express^®.

The Potty Express^® has made our lives so much easier. Although Bryan is now potty trained, we take still take it with us when we travel. I hope you will be as delighted with this product as Bryan, his mom and I are.
